The publishing company, Kadokawa Shoten, is known for publishing manga, light novels, children's books, and more. They used the font style Bodoni for the English texts. The cover design has a lot going on, which relates to the book, a collection of short stories of the Ring universe. It contains different elements and characters like the naked Roman warrior, the naked male statue with a third arm coming from the chest, the big blue face with eyes looking at the reader, and the melting/forming figure in the middle. It all relates to this psychological horror story by indicating the ancientness of the curse of the family and how supernatural things happen that can affect the perception of the characters.
Fun fact: There is an English edition of this book with a cover designed by Chipp Kidd.
